Cork International Airport

About our airport...

Cork Airport
Cork Airport is the international gateway to the South of Ireland and is uniquely positioned at the start of Ireland’s Ancient East and the Wild Atlantic Way. It is the country’s second busiest and best connected international airport after Dublin with connectivity to over fifty destinations. More than 2.3 million passengers will travel through Cork Airport this year, flying to destinations across the UK, Continental Europe and the USA on year-round services to Boston Providence with Norwegian. In June, Cork Airport was named Airport Council International (ACI) Best Airport in Europe in its class (serving under 5 million passengers).

...about our team

Cork Airport F.C. is a brand new team put together solely for the European Championships. Cork was a regular competitor of these Championships in the past, taking part in previous tournaments in Dublin, Salzburg, Malta, Munich and our last venture in London, over 10 years ago. Our team is made up of staff from all corners of the Airport such as daa, Aer Lingus, Swissport, ICTS and Europcar. There is a good blend of youth and eh “experience”. Preparations for this year’s tournament have begun and mostly involves 6 a side games. We will soon play a few friendly games, in the hope of getting ourselves ready to take on the big guns in Dublin. If previous EAFC are anything to go by, this year’s promises to be a memorable occasion in Dublin and Cork Airport are delighted to be back involved. See ye all in June!!!!!!! #rebelarmy
